If you’re anything like us, you live with a mission to make your Grom stand out from the crowd. Perhaps you’ve already dropped some cash on the best performance mods for your Grom. Your goal is to have the most unique ride in the squad. When people see your Grom, they immediately know who it belongs to. That’s part of the mission of this site – aside from encouraging send wherever possible – to help you take your Grom from normal to unique. One of our favorite exterior Honda Grom mods to date is the motard front fender.

While there’s nothing necessarily wrong with the stock fender, it does leave an opportunity to present a more aggressive front. The motard front fender brings the look of a modern supermoto to the Honda Grom. The motard’s design uses sharper, more aggressive edges and angles, and is mounted much higher on the front end. It results in a quite a mean look for your Grom. Almost makes it look fast while sitting still! They also look extra cool with a set of flush mount turn signals.

Installation

Installing the motard front fender on your Honda Grom is relatively easy and can be knocked out in half an hour by anyone with a simple set of hand tools. Two screws, one on each side, hold the fender in place and go into the plastic trim pieces that your turn signals mount to. One thing the directions never tell you is that you will need to find some longer M6 bolts to use. (The ones currently on your bike will be too short to go through the fender and into the threads.) The third bolt goes up through the bottom and into the headlight housing. All of these are existing bolts and holes, so there is no drilling and tapping of new holes involved.

While it’s not technically part of the install, you will probably want to go ahead and remove the stock front fender. Since the motard fender is mounted higher on your Honda Grom – up against the headlight – you could technically run both of them. But since it would look so goofy, go ahead and just remove the four bolts at the bottom of your folks holding it on and get it out of there!
